Behind the design

A full-body illustration of a Basset Hound stands centrally within a frame constructed from white bones. Surrounding this main figure are eight rectangular panels, each pairing a close-up image of a specific body part with a bold title and a witty explanation. The Ear is identified as a selective hearing device, while the Head is often tilted when listening to humans. The Tongue provides endless kisses, and the Nose can smell treats ten miles away. Other panels describe the Fur as shedding once a year for 365 days, the Leg as a tool for releasing energy, the Tail as a happiness meter, and the Howl as a method for seeking love. A decorative border featuring small, repeating dog silhouettes encloses the entire chart, tying the educational layout together into a cohesive tribute to the breed's distinct characteristics.
