Basketball is my Favorite Blanket for Girls Who Hoop

Basketball is my favorite blanket for the girl who lives for the court. The fleece is covered in a dozen printed slogans, from “Basketball Girl like a normal GIRL but COOLER” to “Eat Sleep Basketball Repeat”, all arranged around a big orange ball. Each line is a small joke a player will recognize right away. You can wrap it around yourself after practice or hand it to a teammate who needs a laugh. The artwork explained

The centerpiece is a large orange basketball with blue seams, sitting under the bold words “Just a girl who loves” and “BASKETBALL” in white. Around it, the squares form a patchwork in purple, magenta, teal and deep blue. Top left, a ball sits above the phrase “BASKETBALL is my FAVORITE Season,” while a hoop graphic in the teal square below says “Keep calm and play Basketball.” Several squares carry ornate scroll lettering, and a few show simple court lines, a net and a pattern of tribal stripes that frames the rows. Together the squares read like a scrapbook of everything a player hears and says on a court.

Who it suits best

You will notice the phrase “Just a girl who loves basketball” first, and it speaks straight to girls who have heard that they do not belong on the court. The line “Never underestimate a girl who plays basketball” lands the same way for a player who has proven doubters wrong.
