Cardinals in Pink Blossom Blanket for Bird Lovers

Cardinals in Pink Blossom Blanket shows two bright red cardinals perched among flowering branches, and the bird lover in you will recognize the pair right away. The cardinals stand out against the soft white ground, with pink and red blossoms curling around them.

What the print says

The largest cardinal sits on a branch near the center, its crest raised and its black mask sharp against the red feathers. A second cardinal rests on a branch at the lower left, turned slightly toward the viewer. Above them, a third bird is partly visible at the top edge, its tail feathers trailing down the fabric. Pale pink and white blossoms open along every stem, with small red buds and bright green leaves filling the gaps. The red flowers scattered through the pattern repeat the color of the birds, so the whole print reads as one connected scene. The lines are clean and the colors are rich, giving the blanket a lively, painted feel. Each bird is drawn with careful detail in its feathers and beak, and the blossoms look soft and open, as if the branches have just come into bloom. Taken together, the design captures a spring garden where cardinals come to rest between their visits to the feeder.

Who sees themselves in it

You will likely notice the cardinals first, especially if you have ever watched one land on a fence post or flash across a backyard in winter. Bird watchers, gardeners and anyone who keeps a feeder by the kitchen window often feel an instant connection to this print. For you, this cardinal and blossom pattern is a way to bring the outdoors inside. Cardinals in Pink Blossom Blanket fits a reading corner, a sunroom or the back of a sofa where you can see the garden through the glass. It also suits anyone who waits all year for the first blooms to open.

Meant as a gift

This blanket makes a thoughtful present for a birthday, a housewarming or a quiet thank-you to a friend who loves birds. Give it to someone who has just moved into a home with a yard, and the red birds will feel like a welcome. It also works well for a spring celebration, when the blossoms outside match the ones on the blanket. Choose the fleece throw, sherpa throw, fleece blanket or sherpa blanket that suits the way they like to relax.
