A closer look at the print

The artwork arranges various mushroom species into a structured checkerboard pattern that alternates between deep navy and cream backgrounds. One section features a tall, spotted toadstool with a gentle smile, while another captures a round, red-capped fungus wearing glasses. A yellow mushroom with a skeptical expression sits beside a blue-tinted cap with rosy cheeks. The lettering is integrated into the top left corner, matching the hand-lettered aesthetic of the illustrations. This style belongs to the hobby of botanical illustration reimagined with personality, where each spore seems to have a story. The combination of geometric layout and organic shapes creates a balanced yet playful composition that invites close inspection.
