Cat Mugshot Blanket: A Lineup of Wanted Felines

Cat Mugshot Blanket shows a police-style lineup of cats, each one holding a black wanted sign with a charge printed in cream letters. The charges are the joke, from “PEEPING TOM” to “CAT BURGLARY,” and they will make sense to anyone who has come home to a cat who knows exactly what it did. It is made for the cat parent who keeps a running list of their pet's offenses.

What is printed on it

Nine cats stand in front of a height chart with tick marks and numbers along the sides, the kind used in real booking photos. Each cat has its own coat, from a striped orange tabby to a black-and-white tuxedo and a gray tabby, and each one looks straight into the camera with a different expression. Some wear dark sunglasses, which makes the lineup feel like a set of very confident suspects. The black signs held in their paws carry the charges in a bold, old-fashioned lettering. The layout repeats the same framing for every cat, so the eye moves across the blanket the way it would move across a real wall of photos, reading one charge after another.

Made for these people

The first people to notice this blanket are usually cat owners, who recognize the exact look of a cat that has just been caught doing something it should not. The charges read like inside jokes for households with a cat that jumps on counters, steals a sock or sits right on a book. Anyone who has ever said “you're under arrest” to a cat will smile at the wording. Friends who share a home with a cat will spot their own pet's habits in one of these signs.

It also suits a shared living room, where the blanket can become part of a movie night or a lazy Sunday. You can pull it over your legs while you read, then let the wanted cats keep an eye on the room. It is a comfortable way to show your cat parent pride without being loud about it.

A gift idea that fits

This blanket makes a thoughtful pick for a cat lover's birthday, a housewarming or a holiday exchange. It is especially fun for someone who has just adopted a kitten or who talks about their cat's latest mischief every chance they get. Give it wrapped with a toy mouse or a bag of treats for an extra laugh.

Once it arrives, it becomes a go-to throw for cold evenings. Drape it over a couch, a bed or a reading chair, and let the lineup of wanted cats keep watch while you settle in. Choose the fleece or sherpa style to match how you like to stay warm.
