Cat Music Blanket for Cat Lovers and Music Fans

Cat Music Blanket puts white cats right on black staff lines, where they stretch, pounce and nap as if the score were theirs. There are no printed words here, so the joke is purely visual, and it lands fast for anyone who has ever watched a cat sit on sheet music. It suits cat owners who also love music, and anyone who has noticed their cat choosing the keyboard over the sofa.

Behind the design

The main subject is a set of white cats, each in a different pose, arranged across five black staff lines. One cat sleeps curled in a ball near the bottom left, another sits upright near the right edge, and a third leaps with its paws stretched toward a note. Small black notes and a treble clef float between them, so the cats look like they have wandered onto a page of music. The cats are drawn in simple silhouette, which keeps the focus on their shapes and gestures. Together the parts make a single picture of a cat-filled concert that nobody planned.

Who gets the joke

The people who notice this design first are cat owners who have caught their pet sprawled across a piano bench, a music stand or a stack of scores. They see the sleeping cat and recognize their own companion right away. Musicians and music teachers feel the same pull, because the staff lines are the first thing they read. Reading the design across a room is quick, and once a viewer spots the cats it becomes the kind of picture they point out to others.

You might spread this blanket across a sofa where your cat already claims the best spot, or drape it over a reading chair during a long evening of records. On a day when the cat has taken over the music room, the blanket becomes a cozy way to join in.

Gift and choice

This blanket fits birthdays, housewarmings and holidays for anyone who is a cat person, a music fan or both. It also works as a thank-you gift for a music teacher who has a cat keeping watch from the piano. The design comes in the Fleece Throw Blanket, Sherpa Throw Blanket, Fleece Blanket and Sherpa Blanket styles, so you can choose the feel that suits the room. Picture it unfolded across a lap while someone plays a favorite album, with a cat settling in nearby.
