Come Here Blanket: Words of the Lord in Pink and Black

Come Here Blanket opens with Joshua 3:9, “Come here and listen to the words of the Lord your God,” printed across the top panel in white script. The verse is a call to slow down and pay attention, and it gives the patchwork a clear starting point for anyone who reads it.

The artwork explained

The design is built from square panels in pink, black, gray and white, arranged like a quilt. The top left square carries the main verse, with “Come here” and “Listen to” set in large pink lettering that catches the eye first. Below it, “the words of the Lord” is stacked in smaller block letters, and the verse reference sits in a script line at the bottom.

The other squares hold more scripture. Psalm 42:2, “My soul thirsts for God,” appears in a pink and white panel, while Joshua 1:7 and Psalm 34:4 fill the squares to the right. Each panel uses a different mix of script and block type, so the design reads like a collection of separate cards stitched together. Black and gray diamond checks border the outer edge and tie the squares into one picture.

Who it suits best

People who read scripture every day will notice the verse first and feel the design was made for them. It also suits anyone who enjoys patchwork, pink tones and bold typography, since the squares give plenty to look at without becoming noisy.

You might keep it on a reading chair during Bible study, or drape it over the sofa for evening prayer. Church groups and women's ministries often want something they can share, and this design gives the group a shared verse to talk about.

When it fits

The design makes sense as a gift for a birthday, a baptism, a graduation or a new job, when someone may want a verse that speaks to listening and trust. It also works for a quiet thank-you to a friend who has helped you through a hard season.

Choose the Fleece Throw Blanket, Sherpa Throw Blanket, Fleece Blanket or Sherpa Blanket style, and keep it where you read or pray. Over time, the verse becomes part of the room.
