Crazy Cat Lady Blanket for Devoted Cat People

Crazy Cat Lady Blanket shows a patchwork of cat sayings around a ginger kitten sitting in the middle, and the printed lines say what every cat person already knows. You get the joke at once, and the sentiment is easy to share with anyone who lives with cats.

Behind the design

The center of the throw holds a fluffy ginger kitten, eyes half closed, sitting upright with a paw tucked in. Around it, smaller blue tiles hold short sayings in bold type, from “It’s not cat hair it’s kitty glitter” to “I can’t get up right now the cat is on my lap.” A small red food bowl and a bell sit near the kitten, and paw prints run along the borders. Little cats climb a tree and sleep on the lower panels, so the whole print reads like a scrapbook of one household. The type mixes script, block capitals and handwritten lines, which gives each tile its own voice. The colors stay soft, so the sayings stand out without shouting.

Who gets the joke

This blanket speaks to people whose homes are shared with cats. You will notice the cat mom and cat aunt tiles first, and the “Cats welcome people tolerated” line will make a multi-cat household laugh. People who choose to stay in bed with their cats because the outside world feels too crowded will recognize themselves in another tile. It also suits someone who works hard so their cat can live a better life. When you pick this throw, you are choosing a piece that already knows your daily routine, even before anyone explains it.

Gift and choice

This throw is a natural pick for a birthday, a housewarming for a cat owner or a holiday swap with a friend who never stops talking about their cats. It also works as a thank you for a pet sitter. Choose the fleece throw for a light, easy wrap on the couch, or the sherpa throw for a thicker layer on cold evenings. Both come in the same printed color, so the choice comes down to how you like to snuggle.
