Dachshund Floral Blanket for Dog Lovers Who Adore Their Pups

Dachshund Floral Blanket puts long, low dachshunds right in the middle of a bright garden, and you will notice the dogs before anything else. Nothing is printed on the design, so the charm comes from the scene itself. It is made for anyone whose life revolves around these stretched-out, sausage-shaped companions.

Note: the pillow shown in the photo are for styling only and not included.

The design piece by piece

Brown dachshunds are the stars here, drawn in a warm chestnut tone with floppy ears and gently curved tails. Several of them wear blue and white striped sweaters, which adds a playful touch that stands out against the aqua ground. Between the dogs you will find clusters of pink roses, coral peonies and smaller daisy-like blooms, each tucked among deep green leaves and thin branches. The flowers are layered so that no two bunches look copied, and the dogs weave in and out of them like they are out for a stroll. The lighter aqua background keeps the eye moving across the whole surface. Together the dogs and flowers give the blanket a cheerful, hand-painted feel that suits a sunny room.

Everyday moments wrapped in this dachshund pattern

Dachshund owners will notice the breed right away, from the long body to the proud little stance, and they will likely smile at the striped sweaters. The design fits a cozy reading corner, the back of a couch where a wiener dog naps beside you, or a porch swing on a warm afternoon. You can also drape it over a bed after a long walk, when every paw and tail in the pattern reminds you of home.

When you need a gift for a dachshund person

This throw makes sense for birthdays, housewarmings, and thank-you gifts for a friend who looks after a dachshund. It also suits a holiday swap, a farewell for a neighbor who is moving with their pup, or a surprise for someone who has been talking about adopting. Pick between the fleece and sherpa styles to match the texture you like best, then wrap it up with a note about the dog it reminds you of.
