Faith Scripture Patchwork Blanket for Every Quiet Moment

Faith Scripture Patchwork Blanket puts a whole page of printed Bible verses onto one blanket, with each line sitting in its own square patch. The large center panel reads “I CAN DO ALL THINGS THROUGH Christ WHO GIVES ME Strength,” and the patches around it carry familiar lines in gray, green and cream.

Behind the design

The center square holds the largest phrase, set in bold black lettering on a pale background with a light ray pattern behind it. A small dove sits at the edge of that panel, and a faint cross runs behind the words. Around it, the outer patches hold shorter verses, some with a cross, an open book or a sprig of leaves as decoration. Each patch uses its own tone, from charcoal to sage green to warm cream, so the grid reads as a patchwork. The border repeats a black, white and gray diamond pattern that frames the whole layout. Every verse is printed with its reference beneath it, so you can find the passage again without searching.

Who gets the joke

This design suits someone who keeps scripture close during the day, perhaps a reader who likes a few lines to start the morning or end the evening. It also fits the person who hangs a verse on the wall and wants the same words within reach on the couch. Friends who share a faith will recognize the familiar lines, such as “Trust in the Lord with all thine heart” and “Be strong and VERY courageous.” Someone who simply finds comfort in encouraging words will read the patches one by one and find a line that fits their week.

Gift and choice

This blanket works well for a birthday, a baptism, a Christmas present or a sympathy visit, when a verse can say more than a card. You can choose between the fleece throw and the sherpa throw, depending on whether you want a lighter layer or something warmer for winter evenings. Wrap it for someone who reads in a favorite chair, or bring it along for a hospital room or a long night at home.
