Fall Scarecrow Blanket with Hedgehog and Pumpkins

Fall Scarecrow Blanket greets the season with a grinning scarecrow, a hedgehog and a pair of pumpkins, under the words “Hello Fall” in brown script. The words say what everyone is thinking when the air turns crisp, and they make the scene feel like a warm welcome. It is made for anyone who looks forward to autumn walks and hot drinks.

The artwork explained

The scarecrow sits on the larger pumpkin with both arms raised, as if waving at you as you walk in. He wears a straw hat with a sunflower tucked into the band, a rust-colored jacket with buttons and blue denim overalls. Beside him, a hedgehog with a soft, rounded face holds a golden maple leaf and perches on a second pumpkin with a curling green stem. Maple leaves in orange, red, gold and olive drift across the cream background, and acorns rest on the ground below. The artwork is drawn in a soft, storybook style, and the striped orange and gray border gives the whole scene the feel of a harvest quilt. Every figure is placed so the eye moves from the lettering down to the pumpkins and back up again.

Who it suits best

You will likely notice the scarecrow first, then the hedgehog and the little pile of leaves at the bottom. This design suits anyone who keeps a seasonal corner in the living room, collects autumn decorations or looks forward to the first cool evening of the year. Families with children often enjoy the animal characters, and grown-ups tend to appreciate the warm, hand-drawn look. It is easy to pull over your knees while you read a book by a window or watch the first leaves blow across the yard.

When it fits

This blanket makes a thoughtful Thanksgiving gift for a relative who hosts the dinner or a friend who decorates every October. It also fits a housewarming in early fall or a cozy welcome for someone moving into a new home. Lay it across the couch during a rainy afternoon, or bring it to a bonfire evening where the pumpkins and leaves feel right at home. The printed design comes in one color option, so the artwork is the star of the piece.
