A closer look at the print

A cartoonish bird with unruly plumage and large, startled eyes stands centrally against a plain background. Above and below the character, bold typography delivers a punchline about jumping forward in time to skip straight to a major birthday. The numbers 20 and 70 are highlighted in a reddish-orange hue to emphasize the specific ages mentioned in the joke. This artwork belongs to the category of novelty birthday gifts that use visual gags to soften the reality of aging. The combination of the messy feathers and the clever script creates a cohesive image that is both confusing and hilarious.
