I will Praise Thee Blanket: Bible Verse Throw for Faith

I will Praise Thee Blanket carries the verse “I will praise thee, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made” in its top left panel, and the scripture sits among eleven other verses that speak of strength, grace and trust. The design reads like a quilt of faith, with a black center panel that holds the words “I Can Do All Things Through CHRIST Who Strengthens Me” in large gold letters. Each verse appears in its own box, so you can take in one line at a time and find the one you need that day.

What the print says

The central panel stands out first, its gold serif letters set on dark charcoal with a small dove, a rosary and an open Bible drawn into the lettering. Around it, the smaller panels alternate between deep blue, cream and black, with bands of blue and gold checks and triangles along the border. Verses like “Consider how the lilies grow” from Luke 12:27 and “With God all things are possible” from Matthew 19:26 sit beside “Trust in the Lord with all your heart” from Proverbs 3:5. Some panels use banners or ribbons for the reference, and others use plain stacked type. The result is busy but orderly, with each verse given enough room to read clearly from a distance.

Who sees themselves in it

People who read scripture every morning will likely recognize several of these lines before they finish scanning the blanket. Church families, Sunday school teachers and those in a small group will find verses they have already memorized or shared. You may also see this throw used by someone who is newer to faith and wants a daily reminder in view, perhaps on the couch during a long week. I will Praise Thee Blanket suits anyone who likes their faith visible in the room they live in.

Meant as a gift

This throw fits baptisms, confirmations and first communions, since the verses speak to growing in faith. It also works for Father's Day, a retirement from ministry, or a housewarming for a new church member. It is available in Fleece Throw, Sherpa Throw, Fleece Blanket and Sherpa Blanket styles, all in the printed design shown.
