Iris Garden Blanket: A Black Cat Among Blue Flowers

This Iris Garden Blanket shows a black cat with golden eyes sitting in the middle of a painted field of blue irises, and it was made for people who love cats and flowers alike.

What the design shows

A black cat sits near the center of the print, its fur drawn in soft dark shapes and its yellow eyes looking straight out at you. Around it, tall blue irises rise on thin green stems, their petals painted with deep violet tones and gold markings at the throat. Long green leaves sweep across the background and frame the cat from every side. Small yellow and orange blooms and white daisies scatter through the lower part of the picture, adding little points of warm color. The brushwork has a loose, painterly feel, so the flowers look like they belong in a garden painting rather than a simple pattern. The cat sits calmly in the middle of all this color, which gives the whole scene a quiet, dreamy mood.

Who it was made for

The people who will notice this blanket first are cat lovers who also care about flowers and gardens. You might see a black cat in the middle of blue irises and feel an instant connection to a pet at home, or to the cats you know from the neighborhood. A gardener who keeps a cat around the yard may find the scene especially familiar. Someone who loves painted art will also recognize the loose style of the flowers. When you want something that brings both interests together, this Iris Garden Blanket is an easy choice to reach for.

As a gift and every day

This blanket suits a birthday for a cat lover, a housewarming for someone with a new flower garden, or a small thank-you for a friend who always talks about their cat. It also works for holidays when you want to give something cozy and personal. In everyday life, you can drape it over the arm of a reading chair on a slow afternoon, or wrap yourself in it while watching the rain. The print gives a sense of a sunny garden even on a gray day, so it feels like a small getaway each time you sit down with it.
