Just a Girl Who Loves Labradors Blanket for Dog Lovers

Just a Girl Who Loves Labradors Blanket shows a patchwork of Labrador sayings and dog portraits, and “This Isn’t Dog Hair It’s Labrador Glitter” will make you laugh if you have ever brushed a golden coat off your sweater. Every panel speaks to the devotion Labrador owners feel, so you will recognize yourself in at least one line. It is made for the person whose dog greets the mail carrier like a long-lost friend.

What is printed on it

The center of the blanket reads “Just a Girl Who Loves Labradors” in bold brown lettering, with a golden Labrador leaping after a yellow tennis ball. Small paw prints and red hearts float around the dog, tying the middle to the rest of the layout. Surrounding it, square panels hold smaller dogs and short sayings. A golden Labrador sleeps beside “Labrador Retrievers Make Me Happy,” a chocolate Labrador sits under “I Asked God for a True Friend so He Sent Me a Labrador,” and a black Labrador is framed by a large letter L and V with a paw print. The lettering mixes script and block capitals, so each square feels hand-lettered. Together the panels read like a scrapbook of everyday moments with a dog who never stops moving.

Made for these people

You will notice the design first if you already own a Labrador, or if your home is busy with one. Labrador moms, dog walkers and anyone who keeps a bowl of treats by the door will find their own life in the panels. The jokes about fur, lap-sitting and being easily distracted by a dog are the kind of thing you say out loud to a friend who understands. Owners of Labrador rescues may also see their dog in one of the golden or chocolate portraits.

A gift idea that fits

This blanket suits birthdays, holidays and thank-you moments for the friend who has the most dog photos on her phone. Wrap it with a new tennis ball and a bag of treats for a complete Labrador package. Curl up under it on a cold evening while your dog stretches out on the rug beside you, and you will feel that the design was made for exactly that moment. Choose a fleece throw for everyday snuggling or a sherpa blanket for extra warmth on the couch.
