Mermaid Cartoon Ocean Blanket for Little Dreamers

Mermaid Cartoon Ocean Blanket shows a smiling mermaid swimming through a bright underwater world, and she seems to invite you right in. Her tail shifts from purple to pink, and her curly hair is a puffy cloud of pink and violet with a seashell tucked above one ear. It is a cheerful scene made for anyone who loves the sea. You get the feeling of a calm, colorful dive every time you look at it.

Artwork and lettering

The mermaid sits near the center of the print, her arms relaxed and her big brown eyes looking straight ahead. Her tail sweeps down into a fan of rosy scales, and a small pink shell top covers her chest. Around her, striped yellow and orange fish drift past in pairs, while a pink and orange fish swims along the top edge. Soft bubbles float at different sizes across the turquoise water. Friendly octopuses in purple, lavender and orange wave their arms in the corners, and branching corals in blue and pink add depth to the seafloor. The style is soft and rounded, like a children's storybook illustration, with no lettering anywhere in the scene. Together the parts read as one lively ocean full of small surprises.

Made for this crowd

This design speaks first to young readers and the grown-ups who read to them, because the mermaid is so approachable and the octopuses look so friendly. Fans of ocean life will recognize the fish, the coral and the bubbles at a glance. You might also see it chosen by a parent looking for a bright, friendly print for a child's room. Anyone who loves fantasy under-the-sea stories will feel right at home with it. It also suits a teen or adult who simply enjoys cheerful cartoon art and bright color.
