Nutcracker Christmas Blanket: Ballet and Holiday Magic

Nutcracker Christmas Blanket puts a whole winter stage on your couch, with a dancer, a glowing tree and toy soldiers arranged around one bright scene.

Behind the design

The tree in the middle is the heart of this print, tall and green with pink and gold ornaments spread across its branches. Below it, a dancer in a white tutu raises her arms, and two pink ballerinas in the upper corners spin in the same festive air. Tall nutcracker soldiers in red coats stand at the top left and right, and smaller ones guard the lower corners. Rocking horses, a little carousel, a toy train with its cars, and tiny bunnies fill the spaces between the figures. Small snowflakes and stars sprinkle the green background, so the whole scene feels like a snowy night in a theater. Every element sits close to the next, so you can find something new each time you look.

Who gets the joke

Ballet lovers will spot the Nutcracker characters right away, and they will enjoy seeing the dancers and toy soldiers gathered on one blanket. A holiday host who sets out a Nutcracker Christmas Blanket on the sofa tells guests that the season has started. Families who watch the ballet together each December can wrap up in this design during the second act of the evening. You do not need to be a dancer to love it; anyone who grew up with the story will recognize the scene at a glance.

Gift and choice

This blanket suits a dancer's birthday, a teacher who loves the holidays, or a relative who decorates early every year. Give it with a box of cocoa and a ballet DVD for a cozy December evening. The fleece and sherpa styles let you pick the softness you like best, so choose whichever feels right for the gift recipient's couch.
