Pastor In infinite Wisdom Blanket: A Lighthouse Thank-You

Pastor In infinite Wisdom Blanket shows a watercolor lighthouse framed by soft blue skies, with a verse of gratitude written in curling script. The words in the center read “Pastor,” and the lines around the tower speak of wisdom, faithfulness and standing on the Rock. The lighthouse gives the whole piece its meaning, since it is a light that stays on so others can find their way through the dark. For a shepherd who guides a congregation the same way, this design says what a sermon sometimes cannot.

The design in detail

A tall white lighthouse with a red lantern room rises from a green hillside at the center of the blanket. A small red-roofed keeper's cottage sits at its base, and two seabirds glide over calm water and layered blue clouds. The verse is set in two columns beside the tower, with dark lettering for the smaller words and larger blue script for the key ideas like Wisdom, Heart, Yourself and Rock. Across the bottom, the phrase “We appreciate you” sits in bold blue capitals. The artwork reads as a single scene, with the lighthouse as its anchor and the verse wrapping around it like the light's reach over the water.

When it gets used

The people who will notice this design first are the pastor's own family, the deacons and the members of the congregation who have seen the verse on a card or a bulletin. The lines about a love of God's word and a heart for His flock speak directly to someone who prepares sermons, visits the sick and counts on prayer. Pastor In infinite Wisdom Blanket fits a quiet evening after a long week, a hospital waiting room where a pastor keeps vigil, or a study chair during late hours of writing. It is also a comfortable thing to drape over the shoulders while reading scripture by a window.

Good occasions

Church appreciation month, a ministry anniversary and a pastor's retirement are natural moments for this gift, since the verse names the years of faithful work. You can also present it at a baptism, a funeral or a thank-you Sunday when the congregation wants to say something specific. Available in Fleece Throw Blanket, Sherpa Throw Blanket, Fleece Blanket and Sherpa Blanket styles, it can match a pastor's taste whether they want a light layer or something heavier for cold nights in the study.
