Behind the design

A muscular wildcat stands centrally on the fabric, wearing a red top that features the white acronym NDSCS across the chest. The animal has an intense expression with bared teeth and forward-facing eyes, suggesting readiness for competition. The background consists of a repeating tartan pattern in shades of crimson and slate gray, providing a textured backdrop for the mascot. This artwork belongs to the theme of college sports mascots and represents the identity of the North Dakota State College of Science. The illustration style uses bold outlines and flat colors typical of athletic branding, creating a cohesive image of school spirit.
