Precious in His Sight Blanket for Baby Girls and Kids

Precious in His Sight Blanket shows a soft pink ground, a cross and the words “You are a child of God,” and the line that follows reads “you are wonderfully made, dearly loved and precious in His sight.” Those printed words are the heart of the design, and they say to a little girl that she is known and cherished. The scripture also points back to Psalm 139, so the verse reference sits quietly at the bottom of the design. It suits families marking a baptism, a christening or a welcome for a baby girl.

Behind the design

A pink floral border frames the top and bottom edges, with peonies and soft green leaves tucked into the corners. Above the lettering, a small pink cross catches the eye and makes the faith message clear before you read a word. The scripture is set in bold pink and deep plum type, with the phrase “You are a child of God” standing largest and the rest of the verse falling below it in a lighter script. Along the bottom, a giraffe, a lion, an elephant, a rhino and a zebra sit in a row, each drawn in gentle watercolor. The giraffe leans toward the text, and the lion looks out with a calm expression. Pale pink clouds and small gold stars fill the spaces between the words, so the whole image feels soft and quiet rather than busy.

Who this blanket is for

You will probably notice the cross and the verse first, and the animals will make the design feel warm for the little one who receives it. Parents who want scripture in the nursery will recognize the phrase “precious in His sight” right away, and grandparents often respond to the verse as well. The blanket also suits a Sunday school teacher who wants a gift that carries a message without feeling stern. When a family gathers for a christening, the printed words give everyone in the room something to read together. Later, the same blanket can settle onto a bed or a reading chair, and the verse remains visible as a daily reminder.

Gift and choice

This blanket works well for a baptism, a christening, a first Easter, or a welcome home from the hospital. It also makes a thoughtful gift for a child’s birthday when the family wants a faith-centered keepsake. You may choose from the Fleece Throw Blanket, Sherpa Throw Blanket, Fleece Blanket or Sherpa Blanket, depending on how the blanket will be used.
