A closer look at the print

The central image depicts Jesus from behind, wearing a long white robe with red trim at the hem, stepping gently across still water that reflects the sky. Above him, clouds drift through a pale blue expanse, suggesting dawn or dusk. The Serenity Prayer is rendered in mixed typography: “The Serenity Prayer” appears in bold cursive at the top, while key words like “Serenity,” “Courage,” and “Wisdom” are emphasized in larger, flowing script. The remaining lines use clean serif type, creating rhythm and focus. This composition belongs to Christian devotional art, where visual metaphors reinforce textual meaning—here, walking on water symbolizes trust beyond fear.
