Spanish Christian Blanket with Bible Verses for Her

Spanish Christian Blanket fans will recognize the message at once: “Soy una Hija de Dios” sits across the center in white script, meaning “I am a Daughter of God.” A small crown rests above the words, and a few hearts float around them.

What the design shows

The center panel is a deep purple square with the words in large white handwriting, and the phrase “No temeré mal alguno” sits in a lavender band beneath them. Surrounding it are fourteen tiles, each a different shade of purple, gray or black, with a Bible verse printed in Spanish. Some tiles carry a line of text in bold capitals, such as “LA FE puede mover montañas,” while others use lighter script. A pair of intertwined hearts, a small bouquet of yellow flowers and a sunflower add softer touches. Together the tiles read like a collection of short prayers, and the whole composition feels like a quilt made of promises.

Who it was made for

This design speaks to a woman who reads her Bible in Spanish and wants to see familiar verses on something she uses every day. A grandmother may read “Cada minuto DIOS se preocupa por ti” aloud to a grandchild, while a new mother might find comfort in “Cada hora DIOS cuida de ti” during long nights. A friend who has walked through a hard season could open it to “Porque para Dios no hay nada imposible, Lucas 1:37” and feel encouraged. The verses are the heart of this blanket, so people who value Scripture in their first language will notice them first.

As a gift and every day

This blanket suits Mother's Day, a birthday, a baptism, a quinceañera, or a thank-you for someone who has prayed with you. Give it with a handwritten note that quotes one of the tiles, and the verse becomes personal. In everyday life, it works best on a couch or reading chair, where the verses can be read slowly over a cup of coffee.
