Vintage Mushroom Botanical Illustration Blanket for Foragers

Vintage Mushroom Botanical Illustration Blanket displays a collection of black ink drawings featuring spotted caps and delicate stems. The artwork mimics the style of an old field guide, celebrating the intricate details of fungi without using text. Draping this over your shoulders connects you to the quiet appreciation of forest flora, making it ideal for nature enthusiasts who love vintage science aesthetics.

Artwork and lettering

The print presents a comprehensive gallery of fungal species arranged in a loose, organic composition against a light background. Each mushroom is rendered with meticulous attention to anatomical detail, showcasing the texture of the cap, the structure of the stem, and the fine lines of the gills underneath. Interspersed among the larger specimens are smaller clusters of wild grasses and a single open flower at the bottom, adding variety to the botanical theme. The artistic style replicates traditional pen-and-ink etching, giving the blanket the appearance of a page from a 19th-century naturalist journal. This lack of color forces the eye to focus on the shapes and patterns, creating a cohesive visual experience that honors the complexity of the forest floor.
