Dog Cello Blanket: Pups Playing Among Cello Strings

Dog Cello Blanket puts a golden dog right in the middle of a cello, so the instrument and the pup feel like one shape. The scene is painted rather than cartoonish, and the warm light on the dog makes it the first thing you notice. Anyone who plays strings or simply adores their dog will feel this was drawn for them.

The design in detail

The golden dog has a shaggy, curly coat and calm brown eyes, and its body fills the center of a cello. The f-holes and the strings run up and down beside it, so the instrument reads clearly even at a glance. Around the central figure, corgis, pugs and dachshunds play in a dreamy blue landscape. Painted doghouses, bones, tennis balls, paw prints and little hearts fill the corners. The swirling dark and light tones give the whole picture a painterly, storybook feel, and every animal seems to be having a good time with the music playing somewhere nearby.

When it gets used

The people who notice this design first are cellists, orchestra players and dog owners who see their own pets in the crowd of corgis and pugs. You might drape it over the back of a couch during a practice session, or wrap up in it while listening to a recording of your favorite concerto. It also fits a studio, a music room or a dog-friendly living room, where the painted scene brings a bit of whimsy to everyday life.

Good occasions

This blanket makes a thoughtful gift for a cellist celebrating a recital, a music teacher ending the school year, or a friend who talks about their dog more than anything else. It is also a good pick for a housewarming in a home full of pets. Choose from the Fleece Throw Blanket, Sherpa Throw Blanket, Fleece Blanket or Sherpa Blanket, then picture it on a cold evening while a dog snoozes beside you.
